My name is Alexia Chevron and I am 27 years old. I have been living in the Dordogne, a pretty region of France, for 6 years. I am a wedding, family, pregnancy photographer... Photographer of happy moments! But why
wildlife photography?
I grew up surrounded by animals (dogs, cats, horses, ponies, donkeys, goats, chickens). For several years, I participated in sled dog competitions and that's where my second passion was born: photography.
On weekends, when I wasn't on the track, I enjoyed
to photograph the other participants and their dogs. Then I started
to immortalize moments with family, with my friends; before I start
professionally in wedding photography when I turned 18.
As soon as I had the opportunity, I started to travel (Italy, Croatia...). My first big trip was to the USA, what a wonderful country! And there, you can imagine, I fell addicted to travel.
So here I am in Sri Lanka, Iceland, Malta..., then in 2019 comes the idea
(from my good dad) to discover Namibia with my dear mom, who passed on her passion for animals to me. The crush for Africa
is immediate. Barely returned, that I already think of leaving. Lo and behold, I caught the "Africanovirus"!
I can't explain it, but I'm fine there, surrounded by animals
and large spaces. I take great pleasure in immortalizing scenes of animal life. Spontaneous scenes , without special effects that nature offers me according to its desires. I want to immortalize this wild fauna, so fragile and so threatened, in order to testify in favor of these marvelous beings living on our planet.
